Located in the heart of Saint Paul's Lowertown, and covering one city block, Mears Park is great resource for those working, living, or visiting dowhtown. The covered bandshell hosts many live events during the summer, and the surounding neighborhood has a rich mix of restaurants, galleries, and theatres. One of the great yearly events in the area is the Saint Paul Art Crawl, when artists studios in the neighborhood are open to the public.

In the summer you can relax near the running stream, in the shade of stands of birch trees, or on the grass. The park is accessible by tranist being just blocks from the end of Metro Greenline, and just blocks from the Saint Paul Saints new Lowertown ball park.
