Common Milkweed

Common Milkweed, Asclepias syriaca, prefers moist soils. It's wide, bright green leaves, and light pink flowers make it a distinctive plant. This plant will attract a variety of pollinators, but is essential in the lifecycle of the Monarch butterfly, which will lay its eggs on the plant.
